NVIDIA® BlueField® DPUs (data processing units) enable rapidly creating applications and services. Used together with the NVIDIA DOCA™ SDK, BlueField DPUs deliver breakthrough networking, security, and storage performance with a comprehensive, open development platform.
This self-paced course teaches you the basic concepts of BlueField DPUs as a platform for accelerated data center computing. Upon completion, you will be equipped with a set of introductory knowledge and skills that will enable you to bring-up BlueField DPUs and begin using them to develop applications that accelerate your data center’s services.

After completing the course, you will be able to: • Describe what a DPU is, its main features and use cases​. • List the capabilities of the BlueField DPU software and hardware accelerators​. • Identify the main components, interfaces, and operation modes of the BlueField DPU.​​​​ • Install DOCA on a Linux system. • Manage the BlueField DPU via BMC by using local and remote ipmitool commands. • Manage the BlueField DPU via RShim. • Upgrade BFB and firmware versions. • Configure the BlueField DPU firmware settings, such as operation mode, link type, SR-IOV. • List the BlueField DPU network interfaces​. • Install and run the BlueMan service on the BlueField DPU.
